A 100 years from now:
Free market reign supreme

The economy is booming beyond imagination. The free market reign supreme in most of the world. More people than ever before are participating in the economy. With DLT, people that before were unbanked, can now participate in the global economy. There are no fiat currencies anymore. Most transactions are handled over distributed ledgers but physical assets like gold an silver are also widely accepted. Which crypto currency came out on top is hard to say, but it’s something that shares many of the properties of gold. However, there are more than one kind of crypto currency in circulation; some are more accepted than others.
Banking services operates very differently and more honestly. Most of them have become automated and can’t be manipulated. Their main purpose is to store peoples assets securely for a fee. They can do yield farming on customers behalf, sharing the difference fairly. But the banks have to have explicit permission granted through a smart contract to be allowed to liquidate a customers assets. They also deal with exchanges of different crypto tokens and loans, all in a decentralized fashion. Central banks and wall-street however, are things of the past.
There are no governments. Only public servants and representatives carrying out the will of the people. The decentralized economy made politicians obsolete. Instead, decisions on important infrastructure improvements or defense budgets, are voted on through national DAOs. Taxes are voluntarily, but those who contribute are eligible to vote. Being a public servant is honorary work. You are rewarded fairly when you deliver on your promises, but breaking your promises to the people, will have serious consequences.
There might still be nations and different cultures, but borders are not so meaningful anymore. People can come and go wherever they please, as long as they respect the customs of the region where they are visiting. International trade is also very efficient with DLT.
There is an abundance of energy available. New Energy solutions have been invented. Some of them were actually hidden from us for centuries due to conflict of interest with today’s energy companies. They have now been uncovered and developed. Cheap Energy and free market have made most people prosperous.
Schools are privatized and autonomus. They are funded by parents and they decide what the children should be learning. If they don’t like a particular school, there are plenty to choose from. Because tax is voluntarily and energy is cheap, parents have more time and money to spend with their children. They don’t have to work overtime all week just so they can put their child into private school.
Universities are free for the students. Universities are funded by organizations that needs people to keep up with the increased demand. Some courses still might have to be paid for, but those are courses that are not in high demand. Courses and lectures that doesn’t lead to any benefit for the society at all, have been discontinued long ago.
Healthcare is privatized. But since most people are seldom sick, people need it mostly when there is an emergency. It is not too costly and people can choose to have a decentralized insurance. Insurance claims are made through smart contracts. You just send in your documentation electronically and you get your compensation automatically if you fulfill the criteria. Insurances have become much cheaper and fairer. No longer do you need to fight for your insurance claim.
Sicknesses like cancer are a thing of the past. Even if someone would get it, it’s now curable. Grass-root DAO organizations that focused on finding a cure got the job done.
DAOs have become the most successful business model in the world. When the workers on the floor have a say in how the business is run, there are more focus on building sustainable businesses that focus on quality and trust, rather than short-term profits. Everyone is paid their fair share depending on how much time and assets someone have put into the project. The salaries are calculated with smart contracts. They can’t be negotiated unless the stakeholders make a vote. This might sound unfair to those who worked hard to start the business in the first place, but since everyone involved are stakeholders, all employees are more incentivized to put in some extra effort. The overall effect is that the businesses are developing faster and becomes more profitable than ever before.
People have higher IQ and live longer than ever before. That is because of many reasons:
The school system have changed and the children are learning to think critically. They are also taught that their actions have consequences; acting honestly in all your dealings will always lead to the best outcome long term.
There are less poisonous substances in the air, water and in the food. People have become more aware of what they consume. Sure, people still choose to consume unhealthy substances sometimes, but at least most of food additives have been removed. It didn’t vanish by legislation; people made them disappear with their purchasing power. They simply just started to buy food with the best quality.
The mystical increase in autism have finally been acknowledged. Whatever we did to cause it, we stopped doing that. Children are now much more healthier and perform much better in school.
Central Planning thwarted

It was one hell of a ride to get here. Humanity had to go through years with excess mortality due to various poisonous substances, World War III, terrorism and a global economic collapse. Famine broke out even in developed countries. Sadly, many perished because they weren’t prepared.
After the economic collapse, CBDC was briefly introduced. It wasn’t called CBDC at the time. Even the average Joe knew that CBDC was something bad, he just didn’t notice that he started using it. At first everyone rejoiced as the economy was getting on it’s feet again. International trade was getting more efficient due to lower fees and instant transactions. Suddenly new regulations came:
People were not able to use their money too far away from their home;
They could not use their money on whatever they wanted to;
Anyone deemed problematic or untrustworthy (to the government), lost all privileges and could not even take a bus.
The people were trapped in a “socialistic utopia”. In an instance they lost control over what they thought was their money. That is to be expected when the same people that caused all the problems, is giving you the solution.
But for the enlightened groups among us, we were prepared. We pulled through the many hardships. We worked together and helped each other. We had our own decentralized economy ready when the shit hit the fan. People looked at us in envy. Some people chose to live within the system the new world order had created for them. It was too inconvenient at this time to escape. Some however, sacrificed everything they had (which they didn’t own anyway) to be a part of the decentralized economy.
Gradually, year after year, we became stronger and more populous. The rulers of the new world order eventually lost their power. The decentralized free market outgrow the new world orders centralized economy. They were no longer needed. Thanks to the reinstatement of natural law, justice was carried out. The bank cartels influence of the world economy, that has been prevalent for hundreds of years, have finally been abolished.
Afterthoughts
Hopefully, the current situation might not have to become that dramatic. I fear however that many people need a real shake-up before they realize what is going on.
There are so many variables to consider. For instance it will be very difficult to implement an effective CBDC in countries where cash is used more commonly. CBDC might not even be accepted in many places. High-tech cashless countries are more at risk. The people of China might already be trapped in a “socialistic utopia”. How bad it actually is depends if the media is writing accurately about China or not. Either way, it could become true one day.
It is also hard to guess how a global economic collapse looks like (although I’m 99.99% sure it will happen). It could range between a devastating event where there is hyperinflation everywhere, or it could just be a subtle transition over to CBDC without anyone noticing.
I am at least positive that whatever challenges lie ahead, there is a bright future for humanity. It’s something with the universal laws of cause and effect; if you apply pressure in one end, a reaction of equal proportion is going to hit back. One example of that is just look at all the secure and decentralized applications that are popping up because of implementation of totalitarian law proposals, mass surveillance and centralization. My advise is that you educate yourself and do not accept any solution given to you by the people that caused the problem to begin with.
